Besty is a lovely Border Collie crossbreed rescue dog, no more than a year old, who is currently under the care West Yorkshire Dog Rescue in Huddersfield. Betsy is looking for her forever home. Can you help?

Betsy is an affectionate girl who is very calm in the house and will lie still in her bed while life goes on around her. True to her breed she is a very intelligent girl who will sit and give her paw, lie down when told and who loves to play fetch. Betsy does not suffer from separation anxiety and does not chew - she really is very well behaved!

Poor Betsy's coat isn't in great condition and she will shortly be going for her first grooming. She is also a little overweight but this will soon disappear when she gets into her new exercise routine. Her recall is good off lead and she walks well on an extendable lead. She does pull on a short lead but with training this can be easily rectified. Betsy travels well in the car.

West Yorkshire Dog Rescue would consider rehoming Betsy to a family with children of any age, provided all children in the house treat her with respect - no pulling or poking!

Betsy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please give this lovely girl a chance of a happy family life. West Yorkshire Dog Rescue will consider rehoming Betsy within a 150 miles radius of Huddersfield. If there any problems, they undertake to have her back at any time.

West Yorkshire Dog Rescue is managed on a totally voluntary basis by the partnership of Sue Tozer and Kathy Trout. They work primarily in West Yorkshire but sometimes beyond. Sue and Kathy take dogs from owners who are unable to keep them and unwanted strays from pounds. The rescue dogs are not housed in kennels, instead they are fostered in homes so that their behaviour can be assessed in a family situation.

For more information or to arrange to visit Betsy please contact Kathy on 07711 617148. Alternatively you can email kathy@westyorkshiredogrescue.co.uk. Please mention Abbie at Rescue Dogs.
