Puck is a very handsome 9 year old Parsons Jack Russell rescue dog. Puck is being rehomed by his owner via the Mid Sussex Happy Breed Dog Rescue Society following a change in circumstance. Do you have room for little Puck?
Puck is house trained and is fine to be left on his own for 3/4 hours - he will go to bed or play with his teddy. He has never chewed, scratched or destroyed anything when left alone and he doesn’t bark when his owner goes out. He walks well on the lead though can get a little excited when he realises he is on the way to the park! Puck is energetic but is relaxed in the house. He gets on well with children over 10 years old and loves to play.
Puck is very good at sit, stay, roll over, paw and come – however the recall is more effective when there are no distractions. He does not like cats and is not keen on small dogs due to being attacked when he was a puppy. All in all, Puck is a lovely, easy going companion. He has a true terrier nature - bright, trainable and occasionally a little stubborn!
Unfortunately, although he is generally a healthy little dog, Puck is suffering from failing eyesight. He is managing extremely well but will need to be settled in his new home before it deteriorates any further.
Puck can be rehomed in Sussex, and parts of Surrey or Kent.
Through good times and hard times, the Mid Sussex Happy Breed Dog Rescue Society has survived for 55 years. Strays from the Mid Sussex area are taken over and found suitable homes by the Society's team of voluntary helpers. Also, owners who can no longer keep their dogs ask for help in the re-homing of their dogs (for many reasons, for example, poor health, moving overseas, family break-ups or, as is more and more the case these days, all the family have taken up full time work).
