Hooch the Rottie

Tameside Animal Shelter, Manchester

Hooch in his new garden!

26th August 2009

Hooch has become a big part of the family and has given us many laughs already. He is still scared very easily by the wind, dark, shadows so taking him a walk a night can be quite a challenge. We have taken him to the local park where he was fascinated by the ducks and a water rat! He has been a bit subdued as the fourteen and a half year old Labrador we had died on the 14th August and although Hooch hadn't known him that long they were great mates.

Hooch started off by coming for the day then for a weekend and then for two/three day sleep overs and we finally took him permanently on the 17th July this year. He is a lovely dog who is very clean and is very gentle and just wants to be loved by everyone.

Hooch at the seaside

Update 29th October 2009

I thought you'd like to know I have been to St Annes today and played in the sea, it was great! I then went on the sand dunes with my new rescue pal Sabrina who now lives with us (she is bossy - dad says this is what women are like). I am really really happy in my new life and I go back to see the great crowd at the Tameside Animal Shelter when I can.

Love and paws
