This sweet and very pretty girl is Poppy. Poppy is a 3 year old Staffy rescue dog currently under the care of Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue in Dumfries. Poppy is an urgent case as the rescue is running to capacity and will shortly have nowhere to keep her. Hopefully someone out there can help with a foster or permanent home?
Poppy is a petite sized Staffy with lots of personality and an adoreable nature. She loves nothing more than going for her walks, playing with her toys, TLC and of course being the centre of her owner's world! She is housetrained and has no problems being left alone. Poppy is not that keen on other dogs so needs a home as an only dog and with an understanding owner.
Poppy doesnt cope well in busy households and instead prefers the quieter side to life. She finds young children too busy and unpredictable and finds this difficult to cope with. The rescue feel she would be best placed in a home where children are older (14+) or even an adult only home.
Poppy is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and spayed and can be rehomed anywhere in the UK.
Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue is an entirely voluntary organisation totally dependent on donations and fundraising efforts. They do not have kennelling facilities and instead run the rescue from their own homes. The aims of the charity are to find homes for dogs who have fallen on hard times, raise funds for veterinary fees, kennelling and feeding and to educate the public about the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
If you feel you can offer sweet Poppy the loving & forever home she so deserves, please contact Christine Henderson on 07935 243550.
