Listing a dog on this site is completely free of charge and and I am able to list one or two dogs per rescue centre. This site's aim is to help overlooked rescue dogs find new homes so your longest serving guest would be ideal (minimum time in kennels/foster home should be 1 month).
It may take up to two weeks for your dog to be listed once I receive your email so please ensure you include all the information below to avoid delaying the listing further. You should email the following information to abbie@rescue-dogs.co.uk. Also email some decent size/quality photos (at least 300 pixels high).
- Dog's name
- Breed
- Age or best guess
- How long he/she has been with you?
- History if known
- Details of temperament and ideal home
- Dog/cat friendly?
- OK to be rehomed with children of any age/over 10/over 16?
- As many photos as you can manage to be added to his/her profile
- Your contact details including website address if available
- Areas in which you can rehome e.g. Midlands only, Durham only, whole of UK
Remember to let me know when your dog gets rehomed so I can update the details. A return link from your website would be very much appreciated. You can find details in the link directory.
I understand that there are many reasons why you may need to rehome your dog. Unfortunately, at this time, I am not able to list dogs for rehoming from private homes. I recommend that you contact your local rescue or a breed rescue for help finding and vetting potential owners. Rescue workers are experienced and committed and will help you find the best home for your dog.
I do not recommend advertising your dog in the classified or free ads. You are likely to attract people who will sell your dog on for a profit and will not be in the least bit concerned about his/her future welfare.
