Rescue Centres - List a Rescue Dog
Listing a dog on this site is completely free of charge and and we are able to list one dog per aninmal shelter/sanctuary. This site's aim is to help overlooked dogs find new homes so your longest serving guest would be ideal. We work hard to ensure high rankings in Google and other search engines bringing more potential owners into contact with you. We have had an excellent amount of success so far and will list in any area of the United Kingdom and Ireland and list any and every breed.
Please email the following information to abbie@rescue-dogs.co.uk - the more information you can give us the better. Also email some decent size/quality photos (these can be taken from your own website with your permission). Camera phone shots are fine as long as they are clear.
- Dog's name
- Breed
- Age or best guess
- How long he/she has been with you?
- History if known
- Details of temperament and ideal home
- Dog/cat friendly?
- OK to be rehomed with children of any age/over 10/over 16?
- As many photos as you can manage to be added to his/her profile
- Your contact details including website address if available
- Areas in which you can rehome e.g. Midlands only, Durham only, whole of UK
Remember to let us know when your dog gets rehomed so we can update the details. Also, a return link from your website would be very much appreciated. You can find details in our link directory.
Private Rehoming
We understand that there are many reasons why you may no longer be able to look after your dog. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to list dogs for rehoming from private homes. We believe that potential owners should be vetted and home checked before you hand over your beloved four legged friend. This is not only for your peace of mind but also for your pet's future welfare and happiness. We simply do not have the facility to do these checks on your behalf.
We have created a section in our forum http://rescuedogs.myfreeforum.org in response to the large number of email enquiries we receive each month asking for help. Though you are welcome to list your dog in this forum, we recommend that you first contact your local rescue or a breed rescue for help. Please be prepared to be placed on a waiting list - rescue centres all over the UK and Ireland are currently working to capacity.
Please do not consider putting your dog in the classified or free ads. You are only likely to attract people who will sell your dog on for a profit and will not be in the least bit concerned about his/her future welfare.
Web Design
If you are a small animal rescue organisation staffed entirely by volunteers and unpaid workers and you require a website or an update to your current website then I may be able to help. I do this on a part-time and voluntary basis. Please drop me an email.
