This playful and affectionate boy is Dukie, an 8 year old Labrador cross Collie rescue dog who is being rehomed via Dorset Dog Rescue. Dukie's owners are emigrating and feel it would be too much to take him with them - he is therefore looking for a new family to share his life with. Can you help?
Dukie is a well behaved boy who gets on well with children, adults and others dogs. Dukie has lived with 3 children and enjoys being with them - he is not keen on youngsters jumping all over him though so children in his new home need to be well behaved. Dukie's recall is excellent and he is great in the house. Dukie loves to swim and could do with losing a few pounds (couldn't we all). He really is a lovely guy who will make a fantastic companion.
Dukie is healthy and can be rehomed with the South of England subject to a successful homecheck.
Dorset Dog Rescue was founded in 2009 by a group of volunteers who have been working with rescue animals for over 20 years. Their dogs are all fostered by a fantastic team of carers in a variety of environments. Many of their dogs are from the South West area although they do take in dogs from Irish and Welsh pounds.
