This lovely lad is Lewis, a 1 year old Collie Cross German Shepherd currently under the care of Hope Rescue and fostered in Aberystwyth, West Wales. Lewis has been in rescue since July 2009 and can't wait to find his forever family. Could that be you?

Lewis is not a big dog and will be a Collie sized when fully grown. He is a lovely friendly boy but does become very vocal when left alone - so someone home most of the day and with understanding neighbours is a must. He should be able to overcome this with training and when he starts to feel secure.

Lewis is fostered with others dogs and he loves to play with them. He also lives with cats and is very good with them inside the home, but will as most dogs chase cats when outside. Lewis's basic training has come along really well and he now does a brilliant stay and will remain exactly where he sits even when you leave the room!

Lewis has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped. He can be rehomed with children provided they are older and dog savvy. Lewis can be rehomed anywhere in the UK.

Hope Rescue is primarily a co-ordinating rescue. Most of their work involves moving dogs from put to sleep or emergency situations. They secure rescue spaces for these dogs with reputable rescues such as the Dogs Trust, Blue Cross and RSPCA, together with a number of excellent smaller rescues and breed rescues. They will also transport dogs to rescue and cover many thousands of miles every month.
