Paddy - Argyll Animal Aid, Oban West Coast Scotland

Deerhound Dog Rescue and Dog Adoption

Rescue Dogs Scotland

This is Paddy, a handsome and rather bouncy 3 year old Deerhound Cross rescue dog. Paddy is currently living at Argyll Animal Aid in Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. Paddy has been at the animal shelter for quite a while now and would love a new home to call his own. Can you help?

Paddy is a nice dog with a sunny nature who would flourish in the right home. Paddy can be a bit of handful on the lead and will need an experienced owner who is prepared to invest time in further training. Because of his size and his bouncy nature, Paddy can only be rehomed with older children.

Being a hound, Paddy will chase anything small and furry given half the chance so no cats! He has not been tested with sheep and should be the only dog in the household since he had a bad experience in his former home with another dog.

Paddy is healthy, has been neutered and his vaccinations are up-to-date. Argyll Animal Aid will consider rehoming Paddy within a 2 hour travelling distance of the rescue centre. This includes Argyll, Oban, Fort William, Strathclyde, Dumbarton, Perthshire, Ayrshire, Glasgow, Helensburgh, Greenock and Stirling. Argyll Animal Aid will also consider homes on the North Coast of Ireland.

Argyll Animal Aid was set up around 12 years ago because of the lack of a locally based animal shelters for stray, abandoned and homeless animals. They take animals in from most of the West Coast, plus many of the off-shore islands. All of those who work with the charity are volunteers.
