BOB HAS NOW BEEN REHOMED.

Bob is an approx 3-5 year old Collie cross rescue dog in the Blue Cross Foster Scheme in the Edinburgh area. Bob would love to find a happy new home to call his own - can you help?

Bob is a neutered male who is fully house-trained and happy to be left for 4 hours at a time. He is a friendly dog who loves the company of people and other dogs. Bob is full of energy and enjoys walking in green spaces. He is less keen on walking in areas with lots of traffic, but behaves fairly well on the lead and responds to encouragement if he becomes a little anxious. Bob is bright, keen to please and receptive to training. He is lively and bouncy when out and likes to carry a ball which he will occasionally allow you to throw for him!

In the home Bob is gentle, quiet and undemanding, happy to curl up in his bed. He will retrieve soft toys inside and loves to be stroked and petted. He likes tugging games and even lets you win sometimes. Bob can be over-enthusiastic and jump up at people when he meets them for the first time. Anyone adopting him will need to continue 'down' training to curb this habit.

Bob will make a loving, fun, family dog. He likes children and is never aggressive but may be too boisterous for pre-school children. He enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs. His cat-chasing instinct is strong, but he is gentle and responds to training so could probably learn to live with a confident cat.

The Blue Cross are working collaboratively with Pet Fostering Service Scotland to help rehome more Scottish pets. Pet Fostering Service Scotland take on pets whose owners are going into hospital, fleeing domestic abuse or are homeless. They foster pets in volunteer's homes until they able to be reunited with their owner. In cases where they are not able to be reunited with their owners they are signed over to a Blue Cross rehoming foster carer who will help to care for them until a new home can be found.
