Toby has been in one home all his life, sadly due to his owner's ill health Toby is now looking for a new home. The Blue Cross do not think he has been regularly walked or well socialised but he certainly is now while in foster care! He was a companion to an elderly couple and was the only pet.

Toby is a lovely little companion, he is independent and feisty. Toby enjoys walking and loves playing with his toys. He is not one for being petted or cuddled too much but does like to be near you. Toby does have a long coat so he will need to be regularly groomed, he is happy to be groomed for short periods of time.

The rescue feel Toby would be better for an experienced home as he has not been well socialised with other dogs, particularly larger breeds. He can pull and bark if he's unsure of a dog. However he does live with another medium sized dog while in foster and enjoys playing with her - as long as he gets to keep his toys!

He seems fine with children but we feel may be suited for children over 10 years old who would understand that he does not want to be continuously picked up or bothered. He could not be homed with a cat.
